The Christmas Spirit was alive and well as we visited many of the Friendship Christmas celebrations. We wish we could have made it to more of them. Check out our website for many of the photos we took; http://connection-ministries.org/media/. If you send us your photos, we will try to post them.
Christy wrote in an email this week as she visited her first Friendship group at Cross of Grace with her son, Steven, “The whole evening was filled with so much love and devotion to our Lord and to our very special people. My heart was overflowing. We were welcomed with lots of love and open arms.” This is the vision of Connection Ministries in living color!
Jackie, Linda and I, along with our Board of Directors, want to thank everyone involved in this ministry and wish for you and your families a blessed Christmas season. We give thanks to God for all His blessings; our friends with disabilities, their families and caregivers, the churches that host these Friendship ministries, and the hundreds of people that make up these Christian communities.
We also want to thank God for the many people that make this ministry possible through their financial support. You have made it possible for us to carry out this work with you.
If you still want to make a gift this Christmas season, your gift is needed. You can give online by clicking on the “Make a Gift Today” button, or by sending a check made out to Connection Ministries, P. O. Box 29495, Indianapolis IN 46229.
“‘But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for see – I am bringing you good news of great joy for all the people:
to you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is the Messiah, the Lord.’” Luke 2:10-11 (NRSV)
